Some Z series units will ship with a Intel Processor with SpeedStep technology. SpeedStep technology is used to conserve battery power and it does this by slowing down the processor in your unit. When SpeedStep technology is being used System Information will show the processor being slower then it actually is. This is normal and if you turn off the SpeedStep technology it will cause the processor to go back to its normal speed. For more info on Intel SpeedStep technology and how to disable it, please refer to you users manual. |
