You will need the following things to reinstall on this machine:

  • Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4 Standard Edition and DirectCD.

Installing Easy CD Creator

  1. Install the Easy CD Creator CD into the CD-RW drive.

  2. The auto play will start the CD and the Language should be set at the default  English.

  3. Under Install section click on Easy CD Creator.

  4. At the Welcome dialog box click Next.

  5. The Software License Agreement comes up and if you agree click Yes.

  6. At the Choose Destination Location click Next.

  7. Setup will run and install the program and then tell the Setup Complete.  Click Finish.

  8. If you choose to install Adobe Acrobat to read the Quick Reference (recommended) click on Yes.

  9. Back at the Master Setup screen if you are wanting to install Direct CD see below.  Click Exit.

  10. At the Setup Complete screen Yes I want to restart my computer now is highlighted click Finish.  Leave the Easy CD Creator in.

  11. As the computer starts back up.  Adobe Acrobat will unpack files and bring up the Adobe Acrobat Setup screen.  Click Next.

  12. When the Software License Agreement comes up read and click Accept to proceed.

  13. The Choose Destination Location comes up and let it install in the default directory. Click Next.

  14. Adobe will copy files and then an Information box will come up thanking you for using Adobe. Click OK.

  15. Windows will update the system and finish loading.

Installing Direct CD

  1. Insert the Easy CD Creator CD.

  2. Click on Direct CD.

  3. A dialog box will come up click Yes.

  4. The setup wizard will come up and then a Welcome window.  Click Next.

  5. A Software License Agreement Box will come up.  Read the agreement and then click Yes.

  6. Next a Choose Destination Location Box will come up.  Let the program install in the default directory and click Next.

  7. A Select Program Folder will come up. Click Next.

  8. Some files will install and then go back to the Master Setup screen.  Click Exit.

  9. The Setup Complete box comes up.  Click Finish to restart to complete installation.
