What is Windows Movie Maker? Windows Movie Maker allows you to turn your computer into an audio and video-editing center! You can use it to edit audio and video sequences from sources such as camcorders or digital cameras. You can create movies to share with family and friends, save images of important events, or enable distance learning. You can even create a slide show using your own pictures or pictures you import to your computer. How do you open Windows Movie Maker? You can open Movie Maker by clicking Start, pointing to Programs, pointing to Accessories, and then clicking Windows Movie Maker. Playing with home video! You can use existing home videos to create your own movies using Windows Movie Maker. It imports and opens video and audio, which you can edit and arrange to create movies. You can then use them as the basis for amassing a family video library, keeping friends and family up-to-date, distributing news, entertaining, selling products, communicating business messages, and conducting distance learning; you can even create a slide show of still images. Once they're made, you view movies in Windows Media Player, which is a part of Windows ME. It can also be downloaded free from Microsoft.com onto any computer running Windows 95 or later. You can view your movies on your computer, send them to people in e-mail, or put them on a Website for viewing. You can find detailed information about how to use Windows Movie Maker by clicking the Help menu in the Movie Maker window. For more information about how you can make movies from your home videos, click any of the following topics. How do you capture video to your computer?
