Installing the battery in the WinBook J1 computer

  1. Make certain that the unit is completely shut down and that the ac adapter is unplugged from the back of the computer.
  2. Turn the unit upside down, so that the bottom is facing up.
  3. Place the lock switch on the side with the unlock picture.
  4. Place the battery in the battery slot. The end of the battery with the foot goes in first and to the front of the unit. You will see that the battery connections will line up with the connections in the computer.
  5. Push the release switch to the other side (towards the side of the unit) and the battery will drop in place. Press down on the battery gently to make sure that it is secure.
  6. Place the lock switch on the side with the closed lock picture.

Removing the battery in the WinBook J1 computer

  1. Make certain that the unit is completely shut down and that the ac adapter is unplugged from the back of the computer.
  2. Turn the unit upside down, so that the bottom is facing up.
  3. Place the lock switch on the side with the unlock picture.
  4. Push the release switch to the other side (towards the side of the unit) and the battery will lift up.
  5. Grasp the battery and pull it out of the unit.
