  1. Turn off the computer and disconnect the AC adapter. Remove the main battery.
  2. Turn the computer over so that the rear ports are facing you. The RAM compartment will be a small compartment approximately 2"x1".
  3. Remove the screw that secures the RAM compartment cover. Slide the cover in the direction of the arrow to reveal the empty memory socket.


  4. To install the new memory card, hold the card with its gold edge connector toward the edge connector slot of the compartment. In order to help you orient the card, the edge connector has been made with two unequal-length sections.
  5. Holding the card at a shallow angle, insert the edge connector into the slot. When the card is fully inserted, the gold edge connector should not be visible. 
  6. Press the card downward until it is flat. You should hear an audible click as the latches of the connector secure the card in place.
  7. Replace the RAM compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
  8. Replace the battery and the AC adapter and power the computer on. The additional RAM should be automatically recognized.
