When playing DVDs back in Windows Media Player you may not be able to hear any audio. To fix this follow the steps below.

  1. Open volume control properties box by left clicking on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the screen where the Task Tray resides.
  2. Then un-check the mute option for the SPDIF.
  3. The sound should now play correctly.
