1. In order to install the Ambicom wireless NIC card properly you must first install the utility software that came with the card. Insert the floppy disk in the external floppy drive, click on Start, and then click on Run.
2. Type in A:\setup.exe and press Enter. This should start the install of the utility software on the unit. Finish the utility installation completely.
3. Once the utility installation is finished insert the Ambicom wireless card into the PCMCIA socket in the unit. You should get a New Hardware Found window appearing by the clock settings in the System tray or Notification area in the bottom right hand corner of the display. Windows will begin to detect and install the card.
4. You will then see the New Hardware Wizard. Make sure Search Automatically is selected and click Next. It will then find the software it needs.
5. You may see a window telling you that the software driver is not fully tested with Windows XP. Click on Continue, Use Anyway. It will then tell you it is finished. Click on Finish.
6. The card is now installed.
