Description: For added security in Windows XP you can turn off the Welcome screen and use the classic logon prompt from Windows 2000 which will require users to type a user account name.

1. Click on the Start button, click on Control Panel, and then double click on User Accounts.

2. Click on Change The Way Users Log On or Off.

3. Uncheck the box next to Use the Welcome screen. This will automatically disable Fast User Switching.

4. Click Apply Options.
