Subject: Correcting the problem of the WinBook XL rebooting after coming out of suspend

  1. In Windows 95, Click on the Start button, go up to Run, and in the run line type in the word SYSEDIT and Click OK.
  2. This will open the System Configuration Editor.
  3. The first file opened will be the AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
  4. Look for any lines containing; NAV, NORTON, or NORTA~1.
  5. Delete the lines and save the file by clicking on File and then Save.
  6. Close the System Configuration Editor, and restart your computer.
  7. Test the suspend function by holding down the Fn key and pressing the F4 key. The WinBook should go into suspend.
  8. Press the space bar and the unit should resume without rebooting.
