  1. Make sure the computer is on, and you are in Windows.
  2. Place the disk with your Irda drivers in the floppy drive.
  3. From the Start menu, choose Run.
  4. Type in A:\SETUP.
  5. The Add Infrared Device Wizard window will appear.
  6. Click on the Next button to continue.
  7. Make sure Built-in Infrared port on laptop or desktop is highlighted. Then Click on the Next button.
  8. Choose Generic IR Serial Port (COM3), and then click the Next button.
  9. Click the Next button again.
  10. Click Finish.
  11. From the Start menu, choose Shutdown. Then select Restart, and then click OK, or Yes.
  12. Your IR port is now configured for use. You may use the Infrared icon in Control Panel to make adjustments to your settings.
