  1. Before you do the following, you need to have the IrDA 2.0 drivers installed. If there is an Infrared icon in Control Panel, They are installed. If you need the drivers they are located on our website: http://www.winbookcorp.com/. The link to the file is under Drivers and Utilities then FX. The name of the link is IrDA 2.0 (Infrared Drivers).
  2. Once the file is downloaded, Go to Start, Run and type Win95ir.exe. This will extract all the files into the MSIR20 directory.
  3. Go to Start, Run and type c:\msir20\setup.exe
  4. Follow through the install, Choosing Standard Built in IR.
  5. Select the proper port that the device is attached to. For the FX it should be Com3 and for the XP5 it will be Com1 (Puma device).
  6. Make sure the Virtual Printer Port is LPT3.
  7. Finish the Install and restart the computer.
  8. Go to Start, Settings, Printers.
  9. If your printer is already installed, Right click on the printer and go to properties. Click on the Details tab and change the port to LPT3.
  10. If your printer is not already installed, Double click Add Printer. Follow through the Add Printer Wizard and when asked which port to use, choose LPT3.

NOTE: The XP5 Pro even after installing the printer manually may find the printer when it is in range. Simply cancel the installation and it will not find it anymore.
