Please note that making any changes not instructed in this WinBook Tech Article while in Registry Editor could be very detrimental to Windows 95 and cause your unit to no longer boot up to Windows 95.

  1. From your start menu click on start, run.
  2. Type regedit and hit your enter key.
  3. Click on the + sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
  4. Click on the + sign next to SYSTEM.
  5. Click on the + sign next to CURRENT CONTROL SET.
  6. Click on the + sign next to SERVICES.
  7. Click on the + sign next to VXD.
  8. Click once on IOS.
  9. On the right hand side of the screen look for a line that says noide, click once on it and then hit your delete key.
  10. Windows95 will ask you to confirm that you would like to delete it. Click on yes.
  11. Restart Windows95.
  12. If this does not resolve your problem then please contact technical support.
