  1. Press ALT-S. The program menu should pop up showing you where the start button should be.
  2. Click on desktop and start menu will go away.
  3. Move the cursor to where the start menu popped up. The cursor will change to a double arrow. Click and hold when it is a double arrow and drag the start bar up where you can see it.

If the above procedure does not help you, follow the next procedure.

  1. When booting up the unit, press and hold the Shift key when you see "Starting Windows 95".
  2. You should boot up in to Safe Mode. When you see Safe-Mode in all four corners of the screen, let go of the Shift key and click on the OK button.
  3. Once you are loaded in Safe Mode Windows 95. Click on Start and choose Shutdown. You can choose to shutdown completely or restart.
  4. When you load back in Windows 95, the Start menu should be back at the bottom.
