When using Windows 95 and trying a dial out or sending a fax you get a return error message that the connection does not answer. This could be caused by the connection timeout being set too short. To check your time out settings follow these procedures. Click on the Start button, go up to Settings, and over to Control Panel. Double click on Modems. Go to Properties, then to Connection. Make sure under connection timeout it is set to 60 seconds. Anything else and the modem may timeout before the connection is made. |
