  1. From the Start menu, click Settings then click Control Panel. In Control Panel double click the System icon, and then click the Device Manager tab.
  2. Click on the plus sign in front of CD-ROM.
  3. You should see Toshiba CD-ROM Xm-1602b.
  4. Highlight the CD-ROM driver, then click the properties button. Next click on the settings tab.
  5. Remove or add the check mark next to Auto insert notification. Then click on the OK button. If you are prompted to reboot, click Yes.
