This WinBook Tech Article is provided to you to determine what version of Windows 95 was installed by WinBook. This will help you identify any software issues or answer any reinstall questions in the future.

  1. Click on Start, then click on Settings.
  2. Click on Control Panel, and double click on System.
  3. In General tab, under the System heading will be Microsoft Windows 95 and the version number.

To determine which version of Windows 95B is installed, check for USB Supplement to OSR2 in Add/Remove Programs

  1. Click on Start>Settings>Control Panel, and double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
  2. In the list box, scroll down to search for USB Supplement to OSR2. If installed then your unit is running 4.00.950B 2.1.

Windows 95 version 4.00.950C has integrated Internet Explorer 4.01 and includes USB Supplement to OSR2 on one CD
