  3. This will bring up a DOS shell screen and will instruct you to insert a disk.
  4. At this time insert a blank disk, and hit the Enter key.
  5. It will then format the disk and when it is finished it will ask for a volume label. This can be any name you like up to 11 characters in length. (Warning: Do not type in characters such as " * & ^ % $ #@ ! ~ - = +) They will not work and can cause problems. After typing in a volume label hit the Enter key. If you do not wish to enter a label, then continue by hitting the Enter key.
  6. After that you will be asked if you would like to format another disk. You can select " Y or N " and hit the Enter key to proceed with formatting the next disk or stop.
  7. At this point you will need to close the DOS shell screen by moving the cursor to the X in the upper right hand corner or use the Alt key and the F4 key to close it.
  8. Your disk is now formatted and ready to use.
