At times you may need a system or boot diskette to boot your system to check for hard drive problems. The easiest way to create one of these is under the add/remove programs icon inside the Control Panel. Simply double click the Add/Remove Programs icon and then click the menu option Startup Disk. Make sure you have a useable diskette in the Floppy Drive and then click on Create Disk. This will then create a bootable floppy diskette with most of the repair files you may need to diagnose boot up problems with your hard drive. Make sure you write protect and label this diskette once it is made. |
