On the WinBook XL notebook, with Windows98 installed on the system. Using the diagnostic program for Windows 98 called MSINFO32, under Components, and then Problem devices. MSINFO32 will report that the Secondary IDE Controller (single fifo) has a problem. The WinBook XL uses a Dual Hard Disk controller. The difference is the WinBook XL Hard Disk controller is set to use "Only Primary IDE only". So of course the Secondary IDE controller is not being used. This causes MSINFO 32 to report this error. This is not a problem. And will not cause any problems with the system at all.
