System password provides you security against anyone accessing your computer and files. The passwords are created in the BIOS. You can only use six (6) letters or numbers in any combination. DO NOT USE SPACES OR CHARACTERS AS PART OF YOUR PASSWORD. You must enter the password every time you start or restart the computer. Make sure that you use a password that you can remember. If you forget your password, contact WinBook Technical Support (800-468-1225). A. Enabling Supervisor Password:
B. Enabling User Password:
C. The User Password will have less options in the BIOS while the Supervisor Password will have full access to the BIOS, including changing User Password. D. Changing Passwords can be done by the Supervisor Password only. You will re-enter the current password first, then type in the new password. E. Disabling Passwords can be done by the Supervisor Password only. You will re-enter the current password first, and then press the Enter the key. Supervisor password is disabled, and press any key to continue. If there was a User Password, it will be disabled too. |
