You will need the following items to install

  1. Microsoft Office XP Professional CD
  2. Microsoft Publisher CD
  3. Sleeve with the Certificate of Authenticity for both products

Install Office XP Professional

  1. Place the Office XP Professional CD in the CD-Rom drive, and close the drive. The installation wizard will automatically start.

  2. A window will come up prompting you to enter the Product Key. This will be on the CD sleeve that the Office XP CD came in. It will be the series of numbers and letters above the bar code, and will look similar to:
    Pro: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
    Enter your Product Key and click the Next button.

  3. The next window will ask you to choose the type of installation you need. To install Office XP Professional as it was shipped click on radio button next to Complete. There is a box labeled "Install to:", it is best to leave this at the default C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office. Click Next to continue.

  4. The following window is simply a confirmation of all the applications to be installed. This should show Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access and should show (Run from My Computer) next to each. Click the Install button to continue.

  5. When Office completes the installation, you will receive a box that says "Microsoft Office XP Professional Setup has completed successfully. Click the OK button and then remove the CD from the drive.

Install Publisher 2002

  1. Place the Publisher 2002 CD in the CD-Rom drive, and close the drive. The installation wizard will automatically start.

  2. A window will come up prompting you to enter the Product Key. This will be on the CD sleeve that the Publisher 2000 CD came in. It will be the series of numbers and letters below the bar code, and will look similar to:
    Pub: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
    Enter your Product Key and click the Next button.

  3. The next window will ask you to choose the type of installation you need. To install Publisher 2002 as it was shipped click on radio button next to Complete. There is a box labeled "Install to:", it is best to leave this at the default C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office. Click Next to continue.

  4. The following window is simply a confirmation of Microsoft Publisher as the application to install should show (Run from My Computer) next to it. Click the Install button to continue.

  5. When Publisher finishes installing, you will receive a box that says "Microsoft Publisher 2002 Setup has completed successfully. Click the OK button and then remove the CD from the drive.
