NOTE: You, the customer, are solely responsible for data security. WinBook strongly recommends that you perform a backup of all personal data contained on your system prior to performing this procedure. Warning: WinBook will NOT be held responsible for any data loss incurred during this process.

Please Note: WinBook Technical Support does not support networking or internet connection sharing.

Please note:  In order for internet connection sharing to work the computer that is sharing the internet connection needs to be on a Local Area Network, in addition to being connected to the internet.
If you are wanting to share a dialup connection you need to also be connected to a network via a Ethernet adapter. If you are wanting to share a internet connection that accessed via a Ethernet adapter than you would also need another Ethernet adapter to share the internet connection across.

1. Log into Windows 2000 Professional as the Administrator.
2. Click on Start, go to Settings and Control Panel.
3. Once in Control Panel, double click on Network and Dial-up Connections.
4. Double click on the internet connection that you want to share.
5. Click on the tab at the top labeled Sharing.
6. Click on  Enable Internet Connection Sharing for this connection to enable it.
7. Click OK.  A window will come up with a warning about changing the IP address on you Ethernet card, click OK.
8. Internet Connection Sharing is now enabled.  In order for other computers to access the internet via this computer the other computer's Ethernet adapters need to be setup to Obtain an IP Address Automatically.
