Note: WinBook does not support Microsoft Fax under Windows 98 Second Edition. The following is to aid in you installing and running MS-Fax under Windows 98 Second Edition. If you are having problems with Microsoft Fax working under Windows 98 Second Edition, then it is recommended that you contact Microsoft for further assistance. Installing MS-Fax:
In order to use Microsoft Fax you must be running Windows Messaging, Outlook or Exchange Client. If you do not have any of these, then use the following instructions to add Windows Messaging:
Then if you have Windows Messaging, Outlook 97, or Exchange Client installed on your unit, you are ready to install MS-Fax. Next, the Windows 98 Second Edition Fax Update needs to be applied. Without these steps taken, MS Fax is not going to work. Click here to download the Fax Update. Once completed, MS Fax will become functional. |
