WARNING! Restoring the Windows 98 master image will delete all data currently on your hard drive. In order to proceed you will need to following items:
Note: If you do not have your certificate of authenticity do not continue with this WinBook Tech Article until you have it. You will not be able to install Windows until you insert these numbers. Changing The Boot Sequence to allow booting from the Restore CD.
This WinBook Tech Article is divided into two sections: Partitioning and Restoring. If you are installing onto a new hard drive then you should start with the Partitioning section. If you are re-imaging your original drive then skip to the Restoring section. PARTITIONING:
RESTORING: WARNING! Make sure that there are no PCMCIA cards plugged into the system when attempting to restore the image on the hard drive. Having cards in at this time could cause the system to become unstable or unusable. Note: If you see a message indicating that you have an Invalid Image, you may have the incorrect BIOS for the Restore Cd that you are using. If you receive this message, please contact Technical Support for assistance with this.
