General Information: The 13.3" screen has enough surface area to show 1024*768 resolution. If you bring the resolution down (800*600 or 640*480) the screen expands the pixels to make them large enough to fill the screen. The computer is set to do this automatically. If the display color depth is set for true color 32bit it will not allow the screen to expand. To correct this problem, follow the below steps.

  1. Turn the computer on and tap the F2 button until you see the Phoenix BIOS Setup Utility.
  2. Press the right arrow key one time to move to the Advanced setup.
  3. Press the down arrow key until Resolution Expanded is highlighted.
  4. Ensure that it is set to Enabled, if it is not then press the F5 key until it reads Enabled. Please note that if that feature is disabled then the display expansion will not work. If it is disabled enable it and check to see if that solves the problem before continuing with this WinBook Tech Article.
  5. Press the Esc. key then choose to Exit Saving Changes and press Enter.
  6. When the computer reboots click on the start button and go to settings and choose control panel.
  7. In control panel double click on the display properties icon.
  8. In display properties click on the settings tab.
  9. Under settings locate the color palette. Click on the drag down box and select High color 16bit.
  10. Click on the ok button. Then choose to restart the computer with new settings.
  11. When the computer restarts the display should fill the screen.
