  1. Turn on your computer.
  2. Insert your Flash memory PCMCIA card into the PCMCIA slot of the computer.

If you see a window stating that a PCMCIA Flash card was found and it is installing new software for the card work. The card should work with no trouble. If the computer does not see the card when it inserted you will have alter the CONFIG.SYS.

  1. Click on start, move up to programs, over to accessories, and click on notepad.
  2. Click on File, Open, and double click on config.sys.
  3. Add the following lines at the bottom of the file:

      Device=c:\windows\system\csmapper.sys

      Device=c:\windows\system\carddrv.exe /slot=2.

For the value of 2, type the number of PC card slots on the your computer.

  1. Click on File, Save.
  2. Close out of notepad.
  3. Restart computer with card in the PCMCIA slot.

The computer will now see the flash card in your PCMCIA slot. If the unit does not see the card, try a different card, and call WinBook Tech Support at 1-800-468-1225 for more help.
