No Dial Tone

no dial tone error the first thing is to test the line with anther device.
A telephone is usually the easiest device to use.
- If you hear dial
tone, go to Control Panel and open the Modem tool. Select the LT WinModem
and click Properties.
- Go to the Connection
tab and remove the check mark from Wait for dial tone before dialing.
- Next, check your
settings by clicking on the Dialing properties button. If you do not
have call waiting or work in an office that requires you dial a number
to access an outside line these boxes should be blank.
- Test the modem by
attempting to connect to any of the pre-configured connections in Hyperterminal.
This applet can be opened through the Start menu by pointing to Programs,
followed by Accessories, and then clicking Hyperterminal.
