Q.What is Windows 950C? A. This is a new version of Windows 95 that includes USB support and Internet Explorer 4.01. Q. Where can I check the version? A. Click on Start>Settings>Control Panel, then double click on the System icon. In the General tab will list the version as 4.00.950C. Q. Where do I find what version of Internet Explorer I am using? A. Open the Internet Explorer Browser first. Click on Help, then About. It should list the version as 4.72.2106.8, which is Internet Explorer 4.01. Q. I did not receive an Internet Explorer CD, do I need to download it? A. No, you do not need to download it. Internet Explorer 4.01 is on the Windows 95 CD. Q. I do not like Internet Explorer, how can I remove it? A. You can click on Start>Settings>Control Panel. Double click on Add/Remove Programs. There is a list of programs that you can uninstall, and Internet Explorer will be there. Highlight it and click on Add/Remove. Make sure you check what you specifically want to uninstall and click on OK. Q. How can I reinstall Internet Explorer 4.01? A. You will need the Windows 950C CD that came with your unit. You can simply click on Start>Run, and type in D:\win95\ie4setup.exe. Q. What does USB stand for? A. USB stands for Universal Serial Bus. Q. What is USB for? A. It is a new type of hardware connection. It is supposed to let you add devices to your computer without having to restart. There are few USB devices, but those that are available are mice, keyboards and hand held scanners. Q. Can I use this version of Windows to upgrade my previous version that is not on my other computer? A. No. There are many changes between versions of Windows, so you can not upgrade your earlier version with Windows 950C. |
