NOTE: You, the customer, are solely responsible for data security. WinBook strongly recommends that you perform a backup of all personal data contained on your system prior to performing this procedure. Warning: WinBook will NOT be held responsible for any data loss incurred during this process.

WinBook does not support the setup of driver boot disks. This is being provided as a guide to assist you in setting up your own bootable driver disk. You the customer are solely responsible for getting this disk operational.

1. You must make a bootable floppy disk.
2. To make the disk bootable put it in a computer and go to a dos prompt
3. Type cd\ and press enter to bring you to a c:\> prompt.
4. Then type sys a: and press enter.
5. The floppy disk is now bootable.
6. Next type in A:\ and press enter.
7. Next type in edit config.sys and press enter.
8. Type in the line A:\ D011V109.SYS /D:MSCD000 /N:1 Note: the 0 is a zero

9. Press the Alt and F key simultaneously to enter the file menu and save the file by pressing S.
10. Exit by pressing ALT and F and then X to exit.
11. Next type in edit autoexec.bat and press enter.
12. Make sure the autoexec.bat has the following lines

    A:\MSCDEX.EXE /D:mscd000

    @ECHO OFF

    PROMPT $P$G

13. Once those lines are in the Autoexec.bat Press the Alt and F keys simultaneously to enter the file menu and save the file by pressing S.
14. Exit by pressing X.
15. Next you need to copy MSCDEX.EXE and D011V109.SYS (from the CD-ROM drivers disk provided with your docking station.) onto the bootable floppy disk. To do this, copy these files to a temporary directory then place you boot disk in drive A: and copy these files from the temporary directory to the boot disk.

NOTE: If you no longer have the driver disk provided with the Docking Station the driver can be E-mailed to you upon request.
