The following instructions will step you through setting up your 6X or lower CD-ROM in DOS and Windows on your WinBook XP5

  1. Put your WinBook XP5 in your Docking Station.
  2. Turn the Power on and boot into Windows.
  3. Insert the CD-ROM driver disk provided with the docking station.

NOTE: if you no longer have the driver disk provided with the Docking Station you can download it from http://www.winbookcorp.com/ The file you want to download is TOSHCDIN.

  1. Run the install routine from the drivers disk.
  2. Your config.sys should look similar too the one below with the lines that are in bold being the lines added to enable your CD-ROM
  3. Your autoexec.bat should look similar too the one below with the lines that are in bold being the lines added to enable your CD-ROM
