  1. To create a bootable disk, restart your computer in MS-DOS mode. At the C:\WINDOWS> prompt, type CD\ and press Enter. This will place you at a C:\> prompt. At the C:\> prompt type format A: /u/s. This will format the floppy disk and transfer the required system files to the floppy disk.
  2. Once the diskette has been made bootable change to the A:\> prompt by typing A: at the C:\> prompt.
  3. At the A:\> prompt type edit autoexec.bat, and press Enter, this will open the autoexec.bat file.
  4. Add the following line to the file: A:\MSCDEX.EXE /D:MSCD000 then add @ECHO OFF, then add PROMPT $p$g. Each of those commands should be on separate lines. Press Alt+f then s, then press Alt+f then x. This will save the file and exit the editor.
  5. At the A:\> prompt type edit config.sys, and press Enter, this will open the config.sys file.
  6. Add the following line to the file: DEVICE=A:\D011V109.SYS /DMSCD000 /N:1. Press Alt+f then s, then Alt+f and x. this will save the file and exit the editor.
  7. You now need to copy the files Mscdex.Exe and D011V109.SYS to the floppy disk from your disk that was provided with the docking station. To accomplish this you should copy those files from one disk to a temporary directory on your hard drive and then from the hard drive to the bootable floppy.

Note: If you no longer have the driver disk originally supplied with your docking station you can contact WinBook Technical Support at 1-800-468-1225.
