Subject: Internal Modem not working when Serial mouse is connected

NOTE: You, the customer, are solely responsible for data security. WinBook strongly recommends that you perform a backup of all personal data contained on your system prior to performing this procedure. Warning: WinBook will NOT be held responsible for any data loss incurred during this process.

The reason for this is that the external serial port is COM1, the optional Fax/Modem is COM3. Both of these ports share IRQ 4. When using a serial mouse on COM1 there will be a conflict when using the Fax/Modem on COM3. The best solution is to use the internal trackball or a PS/2 mouse instead of a serial mouse.
