Remove mouse and keyboard from packaging and locate the batteries supplied for both devices.
The mouse uses Rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-Mh) AAA batteries so make sure that you place the correct batteries in each device.
Note: The Ni-Mh batteries for the wireless mouse may be discharged when you receive your Fusion PC computer. To avoid any problems with initial setup of the mouse place the rechargeable batteries in the mouse and connect the mouse charging cable to the mouse and the computer.

The wireless keyboard and mouse use a radio frequency transceiver that connects to one of the USB Ports. To prevent connectivity problems each of the devices needs to have its own frequency (channel) assigned.
The wireless transceiver that is supplied with the Fusion PC uses two separate channels that can be selected using the switches found on the front of the transceiver.
By default the keyboard is assigned to channel 1 and the mouse is set to channel 2.
Note: The keyboard and mouse must be operated on separate channels. If both devices are assigned to the same channel it will cause abnormal behavior.
Examples of this could be one or both devices that stop responding.

Setting up the mouse
The channel switch is located on the bottom of the mouse within the battery compartment. To
access the switch, turn the mouse over and remove the battery compartment door. Once the compartment door is off, the switch will be viewable just below the batteries. Channel 1 is enabled if the switch is moved to the left position and channel 2 is enabled if the switch is moved to the right. Default setting for the mouse is CH 2.

Setting up the keyboard
The channel switch is located on the bottom of the keyboard just below the battery compartment. To access the switch, flip the keyboard over and locate the switch near the battery compartment. Channel 1 is enabled if the switch is moved to the left position and channel 2 is enabled if the switch is moved to the right. Default setting for the keyboard is CH 1.

Troubleshooting mouse and keyboard connections.
If you have problems with the mouse or the keyboard try the following steps.
• Ensure that the wireless device channel setting matches the transceiver setting.
• Replace (keyboard) or recharge (mouse) the batteries to ensure sufficient charge to the device.
• Make sure that each device is on its own channel.
• Use the ID Connect button on the transceiver to "lock down" communication between the device and the transceiver.

Note: The ID Connect feature allows for multiple connections of Fusion PC wireless devices within the same channel. For example; two Fusion PC computers within a 10 foot radius of each other, set up in the factory default positions. (i.e. both keyboards on channel 1 and both mice on channel 2)

Using the ID Connect feature
In the default configuration, there could be problem using two Fusion PC computers next to each other. Using the mouse or keyboard of Fusion PC #1 would result in the operation of Fusion PC #2 and vice versa. In this scenario it is necessary to match specific frequencies between each Fusion PC and its accompanying wireless devices in order to prevent cross communication. The USB transceiver has two LEDs that show the status of wireless communications. The top LED flashes green whenever the transceiver detects communication from the mouse or keyboard. The bottom LED lights green when an ID code (frequency lock down) has been enabled between the transceiver and the mouse or keyboard. To "lock down" an ID code, press the ID Connect button on the transceiver while using the wireless device in question.
