Many people do not like the Tap to Click that is enabled by default on the WinBook N4. There are features in the driver that allow you to adjust the sensitivity of the touchpad, but some people still find they accidentally contact the touchpad and end up typing in an unintended location. In this case, it is simpler to just disable the Tap to Click feature and use the buttons to click.

The following steps will disable the Tap to Click feature for the touchpad

  1. First open the mouse properties in the control panel. If you are using Windows XP theme(as the unit is shipped), click Start, then click Control Panel, click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Mouse. If you are using the Classic Windows theme, click Start, point at Settings, click on Control Panel and then double-click on Mouse.
  2. Locate and click on the Touch tab.

  3. Locate the Taps section in the top of the window and click on the box to clear the Tap to Click option. This will automatically disable the other features in the section
  4. Click the Apply button and the feature will be disabled. Click OK to close the mouse properties
