Subject: How to Remove and Reinstall a Hard Drive in the WinBook X4

  1. First make sure that the computer is shut down.  Unplug the ac power and remove the battery.  Also, remove any other peripherals attached to the computer.
  2. Turn the unit over so that the front of the computer is facing you. The hard drive compartment will be located in the bottom right hand corner, to the right of the battery.



  3. The hard drive compartment cover is held in place by 3 small Phillips screws. Remove the screws and then pull the cover toward the front of the computer.  It will slide off and you will see the hard drive.
  4. On the hard drive there is a piece of nylon plastic.  Pull that toward the front of the computer and the hard drive will come out of its socket.
  5. Reinsert the hard drive.Push it toward the back of the computer until it is securely connected again. 
  6. Replace the cover and the screws.
