Subject: Removing and Reinserting (Reseating) the Hard Drive on the WinBook Z1

  1. Turn off the computer and disconnect the AC adapter. Remove the main battery.

  2. Turn the unit over so the front of the unit is facing you. The hard drive will be located on the front of the unit all the way to the left.

  3. Remove the retaining screw that holds the hard drive in place. 

  4. Slide the hard disk drive unit out of the system.

  5. Slide the hard drive back into the bay and press it gently into place. If the drive does not slide in easily, slide it out slightly and try again. Do not force the drive into place. This can bend the pins on the hard drive

  6. Secure the hard drive back into place with its screw.
