Subject: Removing and reinserting the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM on the WinBook XL2/XL3

  1. Shutdown the computer and remove all devices that are connected. Turn the notebook over so that the bottom of the computer is facing up.

  2. With one hand, slide the retaining latch toward the inside of the computer and with your other hand slide the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive out toward the outside of the computer. (See illustration below)

  3. Remove the drive all the way and then insert the new drive. The drive will slide all the way until the retaining latch slides back into place.  

  4. Turn the notebook back over and plug back in your devices. At this point the drive computer is ready to be used.
