  1. Remove the battery and the AC adapter from the WinBook. This is a must. Turn the Unit upside down and make sure the floppy drive is facing to the right and is closest to you. You will need a small #1 Phillips screwdriver.
  2. First remove the small Phillips screw locking the floppy drive locking tab (See picture below). Slide the tab away from the floppy drive and while holding it in this position slide the floppy drive out and away from the WinBook.
  3. Place the floppy drive in the anti-static bag of the new floppy drive.  Lay the new floppy drive back into it's cavity and slide it firmly to the left until it clicks into place and the retaining latch locks it into place.  Replace the latch retaining screw. At this point the replacement is done and the unit is ready to have the battery reinserted and the ac power connected if desired.
