The WinBook LM is capable of utilizing a 3 ½" Floppy Disk Drive, CD-ROM Drive, or a secondary battery independently. In order to change these drives follow the instructions in this WinBook Tech Article.

  1. Save and close any open documents or programs.
  2. Click on the Start button, go up to Shutdown, and choose Shutdown the computer. Click on OK.
  3. Once the machine is powered down, turn the unit over and locate the latch that holds the drive in the machine.
  4. Push the small latch towards the side of the machine. Push the second latch towards the edge of the machine.
  5. Grasp the end of the module and pull it straight from the machine.
  6. Firmly insert the new module in the machine until it clicks. When the module is properly seated the faceplate will be flush with the side of the machine.
  7. Push the lock latch back into place.
  8. You can now power up the machine and begin using the module.
