General Information: The Port Replicator for the WinBook FX functions as an extension of the laptop's ports. The Port Replicator has two PS/2 ports, a serial port, an LPT port, a VGA port, and an A/C adapter connection.

Q. Can I use my infrared on the port replicator?

A. No the port replicator does not support Infrared. This feature is included on the Mini-Dock

Q. Can I use my external speakers on the port replicator?

A. No the port replicator does not support the speaker port. This feature is included with the Mini-Dock.

Q. Will I be able to use a PS/2 mouse and a PS/2 keyboard on the port replicator?

A. Yes the port replicator has two PS/2 ports, one for the mouse and one for the keyboard.

Q. How do I put the laptop on the port replicator?

A. Lift the handle on the port replicator. Lower the back port cover on the laptop (it is the larger of the Two covers). Set the laptop on the two rails and depress the handle on the port replicator.

Q. Can I hook the A/C power adapter to the port replicator?

A. You should connect the A/C power adapter to the connection on the back of the port replicator.

Q. Can I hook a joystick into the port replicator?

A. No there is no game port on the port replicator. The FX does have its own game port however.
