The PS/2 port on the rear of the WinBook XP5 can support a PS/2 mouse and PS/2 keyboard simultaneously with the use of the PS/2 Duplex Adapter supplied with this WinBook model.

The adapter has two PS/2 ports labeled with pictures depicting a keyboard and a mouse. To use the adapter, shut down the WinBook XP5. Plug the PS/2 mouse into the mouse jack on the Duplex Adapter. Plug the keyboard into the keyboard jack on the Duplex Adapter. Attach the Duplex Adapter to the PS/2 port on the computer. Power on the machine.

Remember, never connect or disconnect a mouse or keyboard while the computer is turned on. When you attach external PS/2 devices the internal PS/2 pointing devices will be disabled. The Duplex Adapter will not work on the PS/2 mouse port on the WinBook XP5 Docking Station. To use a PS/2 mouse on the Docking Station attach the keyboard to the AT style keyboard port via a PS/2 to AT style converter/adapter.

The Duplex Adapter is designed for use with the WinBook XP5 only. Other Laptop PS/2 ports may not support multiple devices.
