Installation from a DOS prompt:
Installation from Windows File Manager:
Enable 32-Bit Disk Access:
Only one 32-bit Disk Access Driver for IDE drives can be active at a time. The Install program can recognize some of them, and will replace them. If a conflict occurs, you may need to edit your System.ini file. To remove the Enhanced 32-Bit Disk Access Driver run Install /r on the command line. The Enhanced 32-Bit Disk Access driver is compatible with Windows for Workgroups V3.11 32-Bit File Access with the following exceptions: 32-Bit File Access and 32-Bit Disk Access (FASTDISK) cannot BOTH be enabled if a hard disk drive and an IDE CD-ROM drive are both attached to the primary controller (AS WITH THE WINBOOK FX). You may use EITHER 32-Bit Disk Access OR 32-Bit File Access. This problem does not occur with non-IDE CD-ROMS or IDE CD-ROMS attached to a secondary controller. (The Windows 32-Bit Disk Access driver will not work when there is an IDE CD-ROM on the primary controller.) If you must choose between 32-Bit File Access and 32-Bit Disk Access, Ontrack recommends that you choose 32-Bit File Access. |
