• Turn OFF the computer. Disconnect the AC power cord, remove the battery, and disconnect all cables or devices attached to the notebook.
• Carefully turn the notebook over and lay it on a flat surface.
• Remove the seven (7) screws from the ram compartment cover. These screws are shown in red on the image below.

Remove the ram compartment cover. The RAM slot is now exposed. If replacing an existing module, gently push out on the edge clips to release the module (Item 1, shown to the right), then angle the card slightly upwards and out from the slot (Item 2, shown to the right). To install a new memory module, align the module with its pins towards the edge connector of the slot. In order to help orient the module, the edge connector has been made with two unequal-length sections. The module can only be inserted in one direction. Holding the module at a shallow angle, insert the module into the slot. When the module is fully seated, the pins should not be visible. Press downward on the module until it lays flat. There will be an audible click as the latches of the slot connector secure the module in place. Replace the ram compartment cover and secure it with the seven (7) screws. Install the battery and AC power cord and turn the computer on. There is no hardware or software (including BIOS) setup required after the memory is installed.
