There are a number of different switches and status indicator light located in various locations on the WinBook TL35 notebook. This article will describe these functions and their various settings.


Power Button

The power switch allows powering ON and OFF the Notebook PC and recovering from Suspend-to-Disk (Hibernation) mode. Use the switch once to turn ON and once to turn OFF the Notebook PC. In Windows, this button can be configured to safely turn OFF the Notebook PC. The power switch only works when the display panel is opened.


Quick Launch

Launches the default email application.

Launches the default web browsing application.

Enables/disables the Wireless LAN and Bluetooth devices.

Vista: Opens a power management application to change between power modes.
XP: Does not have a function in Windows XP.


Status Indicators

Num Lock: Solid blue when the number lock function is turned on.

Caps Lock: Solid blue when the caps lock function is turned on.

Scroll Lock: Solid blue when the scroll lock function is turned on.

Hard Disk In-use: Lights up blue when the hard disk drive is being accessed.

Power On/ Off/ Suspend:

  • Solid blue when the system is on.
  • Blinks blue when the system is in suspend mode.
  • LED is off when the system is turned off.

Battery:

  • Solid green when the battery is being charged.
  • Solid orange when the battery has a low charge.
  • Blinks orange when the battery has a bad connection or needs to be replaced.
  • LED is off when the battery is completely charged or when the AC adapter is disconnected.

Wireless LAN and Bluetooth:

  • Solid green when wireless LAN function is enabled.
  • Solid blue when Bluetooth function of is enabled.
  • Glows green and blue at the same time when Wireless LAN and Bluetooth function are both enabled.
