Subject: Running the Battery Calibration on the V series notebook

  1. Completely charge the battery.
  2. If the computer is running, shut it off normally.
  3. Turn on the unit and begin to tap the Del key repeatedly. This will take you into the system BIOS.
  4. Use your right arrow key to navigate over to "Exit"
  5. Use your down arrow key to highlight "Battery Calibration"
  6. Remove the AC power from the system.
  7. Press Enter and a window will appear with "Battery Calibration?" in it. Make sure "OK" is highlighted and press Enter.
  8. A green progress bar will appear in the middle of the screen to indicate how much charge is left on the battery.
  9. When the calibration is complete, the unit will shut off. Plug in the AC adapter and fully recharge the battery. The battery will recharge more quickly if the unit is left off.
