Hot keys refer to a combination of keys that can be pressed any time to activate special functions of the computer. Most hot keys operate in a cyclic manner. You can easily identify hot keys via the icons imprinted on the keyboard. The A-Series hot keys are as follows:

[Fn]+[F1] Switches the wireless LAN radio on and off. The optional wireless Mini-PCI card must be installed for this option to work.
[Fn]+[F3] Decreases the audio volume level.
[Fn]+[F4] Increases the audio volume level.
[Fn]+[F5] Switches the display output mode between the following modes: LCD only, CRT only and LCD+CRT.
[Fn]+[F6] Decreases the LCD brightness setting.
[Fn]+[F7] Increases the LCD brightness setting.
[Fn]+[F8] Set the LCD brightness to the maximum setting.
[Fn]+[F10] Turns the low battery warning beep on and off.
[Fn]+[F11] Switches the display on and off.
[Fn]+[F12] Functions as a system sleep button according to the settings found within the power management applet of the Windows control panel.
