Follow the directions below to remove and/or install a battery into the WinBook W500 series notebook computer.

To remove the battery pack, follow these steps:

  1. Turn OFF the computer. Disconnect the AC cord remove the battery and disconnect all cables/devices attached to the notebook.
  2. Slide the battery latch to the unlocked position and hold it in place. (Figure 1 item 1)
  3. Rotate the battery pack out of the computer. (Figure 1 item 2)

To install the battery pack:

  1. Align the front edge of the battery pack with the front of the opening in the computer. Rotate the battery into the down position as shown in Figure 2.
  2. The battery latch is spring loaded and will automatically secure the battery in place.
