This article demonstrates how to install/upgrade the memory in the WinBook X600 series notebook computers.

1. Turn OFF the computer. Disconnect the AC cord and all cables/devices attached to the notebook.
2. Carefully turn the notebook over and lay it on a flat surface.
3. Locate and remove the single screw from the system device compartment cover.

4. Remove the cover.
5. The RAM slot is now exposed. If replacing an existing module, remove the two (2) screws securing the module, gently lift the card up and out from the slot.

6. To install a new memory module, align the module with its header towards the connector of the slot. The module can only be inserted in one direction.
7. Gently press downwards on the module until it lays flat. When a module is correctly installed the two screw holes should line up and be flush with the module. Secure the module with the 2 screws.
8. Replace the system device compartment cover and secure it with the single screw.
