  1. Ensure that the battery is fully charged before beginning.
  2. Disconnect all peripherals from the computer (EG. Printers, PMCCIA cards, External keyboards/mice)
  3. Turn on the computer and tap the F2 key to enter the bios.
  4. Once in the bios use your arrow keys to move over to the BOOT section.
  5. Make sure that CD-ROM/DVD drive is at the top of the list and place your Restore CD in the unit.
    Save and exit the bios.
  6. Once the computer starts to reboot start tapping the F8 key to get the Windows 98 Startup Menu.
  7. Choose Safe Mode Command Prompt Only and hit Enter. It will put you at a Command Prompt (A:>).
  8. Remove the Restore CD and let the computer sit here till it shuts itself off.
  9. After the computer shuts itself off. Plug in your AC power to recharge the system.
