The Windows 95 installation CD-ROM has a printer troubleshooting program that may help in the event of printer problems.

  1. Put the CD-ROM in your drive, and browse to the d:\other\misc\epts folder (where d: is your CD-ROM drive).
  2. Double click on EPTS.EXE, and follow the instructions that the program gives.

It will bring up a Printer troubleshooter that is identical to other Windows troubleshooters. Running this program will walk you through several steps to help with diagnosis of your printer. It will not repair or diagnose all the problems and it won’t repair hardware failures. It is a tool to help guide the user in the right direction. Hardware failures would have to be addressed by the printer manufacturer.
